Welcome to CEAC 2022!

I feel very privileged to chair the 2022 conference, a welcome return to the established in-person format. After two pretty challenging years, I think we have all learnt how special it is to be part of a community that will support and empower you. CEAC is the one time we can all meet and come together to reflect on what has changed since 2020 in education advancement and revitalise practices in new and focused ways, in a post pandemic world.

With the theme of this year’s conference— ‘Reimagine’—we hope Glasgow will provide space to take stock of where we are as a sector, and to consider what is needed to write brand new chapters for ourselves, our colleagues, and our teams. Imagine what could be possible if we take this moment to focus not on getting back to ‘normal’ but, instead, putting time, energy, and resources into rebuilding advancement strategies, innovative interactions, and meaningful networks across Europe and beyond. Here’s to getting started on the great global advancement reset—and working together to make a better future possible!

Our formidable Planning Committee has assembled a thought-provoking programme, full of inspiring sessions and the three days will be filled with insightful workshops, notable speakers, outstanding case studies, and valuable networking. Sessions will encompass current events and topics of interest, including starting activities afresh after the pandemic, looking after student wellbeing and reducing your institution's carbon footprint.
