CASE understands advancement shops at higher education institutions. That’s why we’ve tailored the CASE Management Institute to address the needs of new and existing managers.
The CASE Management Institute is a comprehensive training that takes place over five months. Experienced faculty will tackle topics including performance management, staff retention, and handling increased responsibilities.
During these unique times, the CASE Management Institute has shifted to be able to offer strong content while also providing the opportunity for attendees to build their networks by meeting past and present advancement leaders.
Participants will:
Receive a personality assessment review using the Clifton Strengths Finder.
Meet virtually over the course of three weeks over curated content that will help you in the present and future.
Collaborate regularly with assigned cohorts through an online community in the following months.
Gain access to current and past leaders in advancement to grow their own networks.
Who Should Attend
Advancement professionals from any discipline who are new managers or have had new management responsibilities added to their current roles. Experienced managers from any advancement discipline who want to revisit the basics and sharpen their skills.
Meet Your Institute Chair
Shanna Hocking
Shanna Hocking is the associate vice president, individual giving at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, providing strategic leadership and direction to a team of 30+ across annual, major, planned, principal, and international giving. Previously, she was the senior director of major and planned gifts at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she led the major and planned gifts program and served as a senior fundraiser for the institution, engaging alumni primarily in New York City and London.
