This conference concentrates on growing philanthropic markets (i.e., ethnic, LGBTQ, young alumni) in development, while exploring minority wealth, philanthropic behaviors, and diverse engagement strategies. The program also features sessions on enhancing management and leadership skills for development professionals of diverse backgrounds.
About CASE
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is the global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement professionals – in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services – who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and societies.
CASE represents more than 3,200 colleges, universities, independent schools, and nonprofit organizations, with a network of 91,000 advancement professionals in 82 countries around the globe. CASE works to ensure that the paths to these great institutions are accessible to more than just the privileged few.
With this charge, CASE has created the Opportunity and Inclusion Center (OIC). The center will focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and increasing the diversity pipeline for advancement professionals.
About AADO
Established in 1999, the African American Development Officers Network (AADO) is a free membership network of more than 3,200 fundraisers from across North America. It is comprised of individuals who have designated fundraising or development activities as their primary responsibility in their organizations.
The mission of AADO is to foster professional development and facilitate interaction among members. The network provides opportunities for members to gain knowledge through interaction with experts in the fundraising field and has a proven track record in supporting members by providing educational opportunities, connections to resources and scholarships, and assistance with navigating the job market.
