Day of giving campaigns, sometimes called fundraising blitzes or money bombs, are fundraising campaigns conducted within a short time frame—generally between 12 to 48 hours. A day of giving can be a standalone event on a date important to the institution or held in connection with a larger event, such as #GivingTuesday or a regional Give to the Max Day.

There’s no doubt that communicating with your alumni (especially recent grads) on social media is effective. Alumni are already familiar with their alma mater, but they may lose their immediate connection once they have graduated.
