Scholarship Winners
CASE District VIII is honored to recognize 14 emerging leaders from our institutions as our 2021 CASE District VIII Scholarship recipients and support their attendance at the CASE District VIII Annual Conference: Reimagine, March 30 - April 1, 2022, in Vancouver, BC.
“We are proud to recognize these advancement professionals who have already distinguished themselves at their institutions,” said Edgar Gonzalez, chair of the scholarship program. “Encouraging the growth of emerging leaders and enhancing the diversity of the advancement profession is a priority of District VIII. Attending our annual conference is an invaluable opportunity to learn and connect with other advancement professionals, which is why we look forward to welcoming our scholarship recipients to Vancouver later this month.”

- Siobhan Murray, Writer, Oregon State University
- Shyanne Schoenlein, Development Coordinator, Washington State University
- Concetta Sonnenberg, Associate Director of Development, University of Calgary

In addition to receiving complimentary conference registration, each scholarship recipient receives $250 to offset travel and lodging expenses. The scholarship committee prioritized applicants from under-represented populations, those new to educational advancement, those new to leadership roles and those who have never attended a CASE conference.
