Curating a Culture of Excellence in Your Development Office
There are many factors in fundraising. Some of these factors are environmental and out of your control: the economy, politics, changes in leadership, and pandemics. One crucial component is entirely within your control: how you build and manage your teams to set them up for success. The human talent component of fundraising is vital to a successful development office. In this session, we'll take a data-centric look at high-performing teams and the impact consistency, clarity, accountability, and solidarity can have on an organization's fundraising. We'll share actionable strategies to train and retain top officers and curate a culture of excellence.

Know Your Neighbor
In this climate many of our alumni are feeling local non-profits are more deserving of their philanthropic support than their alma matter. This session will set the stage for the world we live in and our true competition for philanthropic support. We will discuss how other non-profits view your prospects and how you can take advantage of what you know and the annual giving channels you use to communicate with them. We hope attendees will walk away from this session with new ideas to strengthen solicitations and cultivate prospects.
