Learn from experts and leaders at this half day kick off to APAC specifically designed for senior leaders in Advancement. The program includes executive roundtables providing the group the opportunity to connect with other leaders in a collaborative place to discuss specific challenges, advance goals, explore accountability and feel supported by others facing the same, or similar, issues.
You’ll walk away inspired by the opening and closing presentations and you’ll be able to make at least 1 connection that will help you work through professional dilemmas and roadblocks.
Important Note: This will run concurrently with the Roadmap to Advancement, and Deep Dive into Campaign on 7 May 2024.

In their quest to support the visions and missions of their institutions, advancement leaders are often being forced to juggle multiple priorities, all while keeping an eye on their fundraising targets and meaningfully engaging their various stakeholders at the same time. In this Leadership Forum, we will hear from colleagues and leaders who will share their insights and wisdom from their own experience on areas of critical interest to advancement professionals. The Forum is intended as a space for senior advancement leaders to discuss, deliberate and perhaps even disagree, on how they see the future of institutional advancement shaping up.
D N V Kumara Guru, Senior Director – Advancement, Alumni Engagement and External Relations, Indian School of Business, will get the ball rolling by throwing some light on the growing landscape of philanthropy towards higher education in India and ISB’s standing as a prime example of it. Cara Giacomini, Vice President, Data, Research and Technology, CASE, will then take a critical look at what the CASE data on global philanthropy means for those leading institutional advancement. Jimmy Buck, Chief Advancement Officer, Deakin University, will share insights and learnings gleaned from his team’s engagement with key stakeholders in the lead up to Deakin University’s recent foray into India while working on the university's aspiration to be Australia's most progressive university. Ovidia Lim-Rajaram, Chief Alumni Officer, National University of Singapore, conclude the addresses by sharing her wisdom about the art and science behind NUS’ highly successful engagement of its large and diverse alumni base through the years.
