Individual Achievement Awards
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award is given to a CASE VIII member for outstanding service to the district. The service may come in any number of ways, including conference leadership and/or speaker exceptional volunteer role, such as a lengthy record of designing/producing materials for conferences distinguished service on the board and with CASE International (trustee, commission, or another significant volunteer role). The award is given to a current District VIII employee or someone who has been a district member within the past three years. The Distinguished Service Award recipient is selected by the executive committee of the District VIII Cabinet.

Leadership Award
The Leadership Award recognizes a District VIII member institution president or head, chancellor, educational system head, or CEO for outstanding efforts to promote the understanding and support of education. Nominees must demonstrate abilities to accomplish the following:
- create a vision for an institution and inspire others to accept that vision
- establish a positive image for the institution, successfully lead an institution through turbulent times,
- increase an institution's stature in its community and its educational service to the community,
- and be innovative and encourage an institution's personnel to be innovative and take risks.
Nominees must be with an institutional member of CASE District VIII, which includes member primary and secondary schools, two-year colleges, four-year colleges and universities, and educational systems in Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, Manitoba, Montana, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Washington, and Yukon Territories.

Rising Star Awards
Rising Star Awards honor individuals with 3 to 5 years of experience in the advancement professions of Alumni Relations, Communications and Marketing, Advancement Services, and Philanthropy, recognizing the accomplishments of those whose early success bodes well for future leadership and achievement.
Rising Star Award recipients will receive complimentary registration to attend the CASE District VIII Annual Conference.
The awards are only presented in years when eligible candidates can be identified to attend the conference. Only one award in each of the four categories will be presented:
- Alumni Relations
- Communications and Marketing
- Advancement Services
- Philanthropy
